Senior Events Executive, Global’s Make Some Noise
This is a rare opportunity for someone with a minimum of 1-2 years of events experience looking to take the next step and expand their skills by working on a diverse range of events, from our high-profile celebrity-fronted gala, Global’s Make Some Noise Night, to stewardship events at venues like Downing Street and The House of Lords, as well as breakfast events in Global’s Leicester Square office. Additionally, you will have the chance to volunteer at major events such as Capital’s Summertime Ball and Jingle Bell Ball, and help shape new events led by presenters and committees.
It is an exciting time to join, as events will play a key role in developing a dynamic new portfolio to engage high-value supporters. This role will be crucial in shaping the future calendar and achieving our ambitious targets.
Salary: Circa £30K
Key Responsibilities:
Event Management and Supporter Stewardship (30%)
- Support the Senior Events Manager in delivering event plans to the highest standard.
- Assist with guest management to ensure a smooth experience for guests before and during events.
- Build and maintain relationships with major donors, guests, and stakeholders, ensuring excellent stewardship and recognition through access to Global Event and Podcast experiences.
Fundraising Auction/Prizes (35%)
- Work with the Senior Manager to develop innovative fundraising mechanics, including sponsorship opportunities, auctions, and pledge moments.
- Secure auction prizes by building relationships with supporters and external businesses, and manage the online auction site.
- Manage auction fulfillment, ensuring timely thank-yous and delivery of lots.
- Oversee the online auction platform for accurate listings and maximum income.
- Support prize procurement efforts as needed.
Event Administration and Processes (35%)
- Assist with financial management, including budgeting, expenditure control, and income tracking against targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate database records for supporter care, stewardship, and performance analysis.
- Stay informed about competitor activities and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Undertake additional tasks as required.

In the first few months, you will:
- Gain understanding of the events calendar and strategy.
- Assist in planning the November 2025 gala aiming to raise over £1 million.
- Learn key processes like guest management, finance, and inbox management.
- Contribute ideas for sponsorship and fundraising mechanics.
- Establish a plan for prize outreach and fulfillment, managing relationships with 50+ prize contacts.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and supporters, including selling VIP tickets.
- Create engaging event assets such as invitations and donation cards.
- Support preparations for the October Make Some Noise appeal.
What you’ll need
The ideal candidate will have a passion for events, be proactive, and willing to develop innovative solutions. Key requirements include:
- Background: Experience in charity or events agency environments; familiarity with charity special events is a plus.
- Relationships: Excellent communication skills to engage supporters and stakeholders.
- Resilience: Self-motivated with energy and stamina to recover from setbacks.
- Event Management: Good understanding of event processes and attention to detail.
- Fundraising: Experience supporting various fundraising mechanics; familiarity with EMMA Auction platform is helpful.
- Finance: Experience managing financial processes and invoices.
- Planning: Highly organized, capable of working under pressure and to deadlines.
- Creativity: Innovative thinker with an eye on trends for prizes and event ideas.
- Proactivity: Initiative to improve processes and identify issues early.
