We have partnered with a global leading manufacturing organization that is looking to appoint an EHS Manager to cover their manufacturing site in Welwyn Garden City and the local distribution centre. The ideal candidate will review and improve EHS management systems, helping drive a positive safety culture forward.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to get involved on a complex site, you will be joining a strong senior leadership team who are brought into safety. You will be supported by an EHS Coordinator to help enhance EHS throughout the site. Our client is also open to someone who is looking to step up into their first management role, as they are keen on personal and professional development.

The EHS Manager Role:

- Develop and implement the EHS strategy across the sites
- You will be a hands-on leader, understanding where you can make an immediate impact and what the long-term goals will be
- You will drive cultural change, bringing HSE to the forefront
- Coaching, managing and developing various senior stakeholders will be essential
- Ensure standards are met and continually improved upon
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Development of safety team

The EHS Manager Candidate:

- Must have experience of working within manufacturing or engineering environments
- Nebosh GC ideally NEBOSH Diploma or NCRQ equivalent
- Ideally IEMA Qualification
- Knowledge of management systems of ISO 14001, 45001
- Proven leadership skills - the ability to engage at all levels is vital
- Personality, influencing skills and engagement are crucial
