Are you a Chartered (or approaching) Structural Engineer looking to progress your career and work on some of the most iconic projects in Northern Ireland? Our Client is seeking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join their busy Structural Engineering team in Belfast due to contract awards and an already busy work schedule.

Purpose of Job:

To act as Structural Lead on a wide range of projects with the Architectural and Civil Design teams in liaising with clients and other design team members, managing/undertaking the preparation of drawings, calculations, programmes, specifications, reports and other project related deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the Structural Engineering Team, you will lead and undertake the following duties:

1. Manage a team in preparing conceptual, schematic and detailed design solutions for various elements of Structural engineering work using CAD/Revit software.
2. Liaise directly with clients in the development of solutions.
3. Coordinate with other design team members, both in-house, other offices, and external consultants.
4. Attend design team meetings and client liaison meetings as appropriate.
5. Manage the preparation of drawing lists, programmes, specifications, and progress reports.
6. Produce detailed design calculations.
7. Co-operate with site supervisory resources.
8. Perform other relevant engineering duties as required by the local Office.

Key Attributes and Experience:

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar Structural Design role.
• Experience working in a design office environment.
• Chartered or nearing Chartered status.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate as part of a team.
