Job Description:

Senior Façade Engineer - Required for our client, a forward-thinking and independent Façade, Civil, and Structural Engineering Consultancy. We seek an enthusiastic and driven Engineer with proven UK experience. The successful candidate will manage their own projects and oversee intermediate and graduate engineers. Responsibilities include managing project budgets and engaging with clients and fellow consultants.

• Starting salary £40,000 - £58,000 (dependent on experience)

• Design and manage projects, providing high-quality technical design
• Create technical design information including drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports
• Review and approve reports, designs, drawings, sketches, and calculations in accordance with quality procedures
• Manage feasibility studies and reports
• Conduct structural surveys with reports on findings, discussions, conclusions, and recommendations
• Handle project management and financial control of small and medium-sized projects
• Coordinate effectively with clients, local authorities, and design team members
• Supervise and monitor the use of computer-based systems
• Support and supervise junior team members
• Assist in preparing bids and proposals
• Follow existing working practices, methods, and procedures
• Possess an innate understanding of structural engineering and façade physics
• Hold HND/HNC or higher in civil or structural engineering
• Demonstrate strong understanding of engineering principles
• Be competent in computer analysis of structures and design of structural elements in steel, stainless steel, aluminium, timber, and glass
• Experience briefing CAD technicians
• Experience delegating, supervising, and mentoring junior team members
• Commit to continual personal and company improvement
• Familiar with designing to British Standards/Eurocodes
• Good understanding of CDM regulations and designer responsibilities
