A global insurer with offices across the UK is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial New Business P&C Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with strategic intermediary partners to underwrite new business opportunities in the mid-market to mid-corporate sector.
• Operate within your underwriting authority, collaborating closely with the Underwriting Manager and Sales Team to deliver excellent service and innovative underwriting solutions.
• Support less experienced colleagues to enhance their knowledge and skills.
• Engage in face-to-face trading with intermediaries or clients.
• Identify and develop a pipeline of new business to meet annual targets by year-end.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• Strong trading and relationship management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of underwriting principles and insurance industry practices.
• High level of technical expertise in Property and Casualty underwriting.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills; capable of interacting effectively with internal and external partners at all levels.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple projects.
