About the opportunityAn established luxury property development company in central Brighton is seeking a meticulous and proactive Bookkeeper to join their team. Working within a prestigious property environment, you will oversee financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting the wider business operations.

Key responsibilities- Record all financial transactions accurately using Xero accounting software
- Process payroll operations including wage calculations and tax withholdings
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with budget monitoring, variance identification and adjustment recommendations
- Monitor expenses and suggest potential cost-saving measures
- Maintain clear communication between company departments regarding financial matters
Requirements- Proficiency in Xero accounting software
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to analyse financial data and identify discrepancies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation
- Previous experience in a similar bookkeeping role
- Property or construction industry experience beneficial
