The PWR team is working in close partnership with a specialist education provider in Greater Manchester to appoint an experienced Head of School for a full-time, permanent position within a small alternative provision setting.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a nurturing and highly personalised educational environment. The school supports around 20 pupils, many of whom are preparing for reintegration into mainstream education, and is part of a national network of independent schools committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of young people.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a compassionate and strategic leader who can drive high standards while fostering an inclusive and supportive school culture. You should have:
Significant experience in school leadership (e.g. Head of Department, SLT, Deputy, or Headteacher level)
A strong understanding of alternative provision or specialist settings
Oversight of core subject delivery, especially English, Maths, and Science
Experience working with students with SEN and additional needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with staff, learners, and external partners
A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and the promotion of British values
Requirements:
Degree in a relevant subject area
QTS or QTLS (or overseas equivalent)
NPQH or working towards it (desirable)
Knowledge of Independent School Standards and compliance expectations
Strong time management and problem-solving capabilities
