Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer - Observability

About this role

You'll work with high-performing infrastructure and software engineering teams, supporting the UK business' multi-year migration to AWS by solving complex problems and leading solution migrations within an established cloud footprint.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and delivery of solutions in our AWS environment, focusing on automation and streamlining tasks to support application engineering and accelerate new feature delivery.
• Drive the development of Observability practices, improving key metrics like MTTR and MTTD.
• Collaborate with SMEs, Engineers, and Architects to lead initiatives from conception to support handover.

What we're looking for

• Experience in setting up and maintaining observability standards in complex cloud environments.
• Strong cloud engineering background with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Experience with cloud migration, scripting, DevOps tools, and full-stack development.
• Excellent communication skills to translate requirements into solutions.
• Diverse technical experience, including cloud engineering and enterprise tech.
• Effective collaboration and influence within teams.
• Growth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and networking.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Work location and environment

This is a permanent role based in Nottingham with a hybrid work model, requiring presence in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
