Contract - Chief Sustainability Officer

(Maternity Cover | 12-Month Contract)

A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Interim Group Chief Sustainability Officer to lead its sustainability agenda during maternity leave cover. This role involves managing a cross-regional team, advancing sustainable finance initiatives, overseeing strategic frameworks, regulatory and voluntary reporting, and engaging key governance committees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sustainable finance product development and advisory services.
• Oversee sustainability strategy execution, KPIs, policies, and methodologies.
• Lead regulatory and voluntary sustainability reporting and disclosures including S&P CSA, PRB Reporting, ISSB S1 & 2 Disclosures & other global disclosures.
• Manage key governance committees and company-wide sustainability training.
• Engage stakeholders to foster transparency and enhance sustainability credentials.

Candidate Profile:

• Master's degree in a relevant field and strong commitment to professional development.
• Proven leadership of multi-country teams, with a passion for sustainability and sustainable finance.
• Expertise in sustainability strategies within financial services and evolving regulatory requirements, ideally within Asset Management, Investment Banking or Corporate Banking.
• Excellent communication, client engagement, and influencing skills.
