About StructureCare
StructureCare (www.structurecare.com) is part of the Tremco CPG family, which includes well-known brands such as Tremco, Flowcrete, Illbruck, Nullifire, Vandex, and Dryvit.
We are CPG’s in-house contractor specializing in the repair, maintenance, and protection of buildings and structures throughout the UK. We are seeking to appoint an Assistant QS to help manage and maintain the financial health of our projects and support the day-to-day operations of the contracts department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the effective handover from the estimating team to the contracts team, ensuring commercial clarity through the compilation of relevant contractual documentation.
- Assist in preparing contractual documents and claims, including substantiation.
- Assist in preparing interim applications and final accounts.
- Process client purchase orders.
- Monitor subcontractor accounts and issue monthly payment certificates.
- Understand NEC contract procedures.
- Issue CE’s and EWN’s and follow up accordingly.
- Assist and direct general commercial administration duties in collaboration with the administration team.
- Maintain close liaison with project managers, other departments, subcontractors, and clients.
- Undertake additional duties as required by senior management.
- Identify areas for project improvement and promote best practices across the business.
- Be aware of the financial objectives of projects under your control and influence their timely and profitable completion.
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.
Personal Characteristics
- Ideally hold a commercial qualification and have experience handling commercial documents in the construction sector.
- Proficient in IT, capable of producing detailed documents and reports.
- A strong team player with effective collaboration skills.
- Commercial and contractual awareness.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Service-oriented with responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to support change implementation.
