Network Test & Quality Engineer/Analysts

Required:
Candidate must be aware that the role is based in the UK and should be able to start gaining SC clearance or already hold SC clearance.

Skills Required:
- Ability to create test scripts from Test Plans & Test definition documents.
- Experience working on Low Level Designs for Network infrastructure (Routers/Switches/Firewalls) and providing guidance for connectivity of Cat6 and Optical Fibre.
- Understanding of Test phases and stages of Network testing: Unit, System Integration, Functional, Non-Functional, Disaster recovery, Operation Acceptance.
- Ability to execute test cases, import them to ALM, and link to requirements.
- Ability to collect test execution evidence, report execution/defects in ALM.
- Assisting in network design and implementation.
- Providing network support across various operating systems.
- Overseeing LAN and WAN.
- Implementing and managing disaster recovery and backups.
- Evaluating and recommending security improvements and system upgrades.

Practical Skills:
- Cisco Routing & Switching, Firewall, Network engineering, CCNA/CCNP, Network testing tools, IXIA, ALM.
- Handling Fibre optic cables.
- Understanding Data Centre operating procedures.
- Setting up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing.
- Knowledge of Automated Network & Service Management (e.g., StableNet).
- Ability to understand Network infrastructure design from HLD/LLD.
- ALM Test case management, Defect Management, and Reporting overview.

Job Details:

• Type: Contract
• Experience: 4-5+ years in networking, including working with Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, testing, and network engineering.
• Location: Hybrid (Wokingham, Midlands, Cobham) with occasional customer site visits and HQ liaison.
• Security Clearance: Eligible for or holding SC clearance.
