Job Description

As an Associate Product Manager, you will be responsible for creating and prioritising requirements to ensure that the best product is developed to meet user needs. You will be the voice of the user in the development and iteration of HMLR products and services, working with key stakeholders to identify needs and manage dependencies.

You will take ownership of the backlog by carrying out refinement activities to ensure it supports the delivery of the right product and aligns with the product roadmap, making decisions based on evidence. Delivering the vision and direction set out by the Product Manager, you will be the interface between the business and the team communicating what needs to be delivered and in what order.

This is an excellent introductory role into Product Management, you will play an active role in the HMLR Product Management community, sharing your learning and celebrating progress made by other teams.

Person specification

You will have an understanding of user needs and can demonstrate evidence of problem ownership in order to resolve user issues in delivering change and have experience of stakeholder engagement, managing diverse needs and priorities. You will have experience of participating in a change process including creating and maintaining timelines, action plans and completing evaluation to measure success and been involved in planning and decision making to support product/change delivery. An ability to communicate confidently and make collaborative decisions is essential.

Where an individual taking up the responsibility will be based in Swansea Office, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable.

HMLR believe that a blended approach to where you work that enables some time working from home, as well as in the office may give you an improved experience and has clear business benefits. We expect everyone to spend at least 60% of their working time in the office. Beyond this expectation, there is no one size fits all approach (and we can spend up to 100% working in the office if we prefer).
