Job description

Our client is currently looking for a Principal Project Engineer. The position is a staff role with a salary that is commensurate with your experience. The client is seeking Project Engineers to work within their dedicated Power team, which sits alongside the Civil & Structural department. The role offers hybrid working, with just 1 day a week in the office and the rest from home, with the office located in the Manchester area.

The client is looking for candidates with experience in Transition stations, Substation buildings, and power stations. Responsibilities within the Power team may include working on foundations, buildings, bunding for equipment, roads, fencing, and being responsible for managing cost, resourcing, program management, and client liaison.

Candidates with a background in the power sector, such as experience with SSE, National Grid, etc., would be ideal, but it is not a requirement. Depending on the project size, successful candidates will likely be involved in both design and project leadership.

Regarding non-negotiables, the client is looking for a candidate with a C&S background and some experience in leading project management and delivery.
