Job Description
Our client is currently looking for a Principal Project Engineer. The position will be a staff role with a salary that is commensurate with your experience. The client is seeking Project Engineers to work within their dedicated Power team that sits alongside the Civil & Structural department. The position offers hybrid working with just 1 day a week in the office and the rest from home, with the office located in the Manchester area.
The client is looking for candidates with experience in transition stations, substation buildings, and power stations. Responsibilities within the Power team may include working on foundations, buildings, bunding for equipment, roads, fencing, and being responsible for managing costs, resourcing, program management, and client liaison accordingly.
Candidates with a background in the power sector, such as working for SSE, Grid, etc., would be ideal, but experience within this sector is not strictly required. Depending on the project size, successful candidates will likely be involved in both design work and project leadership.
The non-negotiables from the client include a background in Civil & Structural (C&S) engineering with some experience in leading project management and delivery. Candidates must already have the right to work in the UK.
