Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with your team of engineers and designers on Civil and Structural (C&S) design within multi-discipline engineering, EPCM, or EPC projects for the Gas Transmission Major Project Programme.
2. Work on projects from Concept Design through to Execution Design and construction support.
3. Undertake temporary works design and support the HSEQ team in delivering CDM 2015 requirements.
4. Focus on projects specific to the Gas Transmission sector, mainly UK compressor station infrastructure.
5. Manage and complete C&S design within budget and schedule, including change control and consistency across disciplines.
6. Ensure the quality of C&S design outputs.
7. Participate in design reviews and secure client approval as per standard T/PM/G/35.
8. Depending on project size, act as Lead Engineer C&S for one or multiple projects within the Gas sector.
9. Make independent decisions and provide expert technical support in C&S Engineering.
10. Lead quality assurance in engineering designs, including checking and approving discipline deliverables per company procedures.
11. Prepare, check, and approve engineering and design estimates, and control project costs related to progress, scope changes, and man-hours.

Your profile

If you meet the following criteria, we look forward to your application:

1. Over 5 years of experience as Lead/Senior Engineer C&S in multi-discipline projects within an Engineering/EPCM/EPC company, specifically in the Gas Transmission sector.
2. Good knowledge of Gas Transmission standards and specifications for C&S, especially for compressor stations (desirable).
3. Knowledge of the T/PM/G/35 Management of Change procedure (desirable).
4. Deep expertise in C&S engineering and design, with a sound understanding of other disciplines like Automation, Mechanical, Piping, EC&I, and Process.
5. MEng / BEng / HNC / HND in Civil and Structural Engineering.
6. Chartered Engineer status.
7. Experience producing civil and structural specifications, scopes, calculations, drawings, schedules, procurement, and construction documents.
8. Experience applying Eurocodes within the UK.
9. Knowledge of CDM 2015 requirements (PD and PC).
10. Result-oriented with a focus on client satisfaction and delivering high-quality work.
11. Strong planning and organizational skills, understanding dependencies within and across disciplines.
12. Proficiency with main C&S design packages like Staad Pro, Tedds, and Microsoft Office.
13. Leadership skills to delegate and motivate your team, with the ability to manage change and client expectations.
