Qualifications

• 3-4 years' experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment and preventative measures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and restore failure modes of plant equipment.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve engineering issues.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance routines.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Newport

Salary: £49,500 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (2 days/2 nights)

Overview

Responsibilities

• Identify failure modes of plant equipment and restore equipment to operation safely and efficiently.
• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve long-term engineering issues.
• Locate spare parts using the maintenance management system, and manage spares inventory.
• Identify failure modes of electrical equipment and recommend preventative measures.
• Follow maintenance schedules from SAP, document work through notifications, and record all activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance routines as scheduled.

Candidate Requirements

• Proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with leadership qualities.
• Experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Accurate and timely reporting skills.
• 3-4 years' experience in a similar environment.
• Knowledge of good engineering practices.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (City & Guilds, HNC).
