This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of CITI and the Chief Medical Office, driving forward our digital transformation agenda and supporting the Executive Board in delivering its vision for better, faster, and fairer healthcare.

The post holder will play an instrumental role in leading one of the Trust’s digital transformation and improvement programmes, aimed at embedding clinical best practices in Epic workflows — our Electronic Health Record system. This Charity-funded pilot will enable the reduction of unwarranted variation in clinical care to deliver more consistent, equitable, effective, and efficient care to patients.

The Key Results Areas for This Post
  • The post holder will take a lead on one or more improvement and/or transformation aspects of the programme, responsible for planning, day-to-day delivery, and subsequent performance management, adjusting plans as required to ensure risks and issues are mitigated.
  • Promoting and utilizing recognized methodologies and tools appropriate to their projects while working with key stakeholders across the Trust and beyond.
  • Working with clinicians and managers to ensure the provision of the best possible patient experience and service delivery.
  • Defining and overseeing projects with rigorous risk and issue management.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management of interdependencies and delivery of objectives.

For full information, please refer to the job description and person specification.

The Delivery team is part of the Centre for Innovation, Transformation, and Improvement (CITI), founded in 2021 under the Deputy Chief Executive (DCE). The DCE is responsible for leading and implementing the Trust’s strategy for innovation and improvement, aiming to develop an ecosystem that encourages the acceleration of new knowledge and capabilities, learning from best practices globally to improve patient care, research, and education at scale.

CITI co-locates multi-faceted teams to serve as the focal point for clinical innovators and services seeking to translate ideas or early-stage products into clinical practice. It aims to incubate and deliver innovations, projects, and programmes, working alongside clinical customers for the benefit of patients.

CITI builds on industry best practices in taking innovation from concept to practice, fostering a culture of innovation and improvement throughout the Trust, and serving as the intellectual home of core change methodologies.

Its goals include improving the adoption of new clinical technologies with an agile operational model, delivering a data-driven approach to evaluate performance, creating a sustainable culture of innovation in the clinical and operational workforce, and building enduring partnerships with academia, industry, investors, communities, and other key stakeholders.
