Job description

We're looking for a New Connections Senior Surveyor to join our South West Water team based in Devon & Cornwall.

Location: Devon & Cornwall - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 45 hours per week - full-time

What will you be responsible for?

As a New Connections Senior Surveyor, you'll work within the South West Water team, supporting the delivery of safe, accurate, and timely new connection surveys that enable construction works and contribute to customer satisfaction.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for technical queries and survey escalations for surveyors and office teams
• Planning and conducting site surveys for new connections, adhering to regulatory and health & safety standards
• Providing mentoring, guidance, and technical support to fellow surveyors
• Ensuring survey documentation, site records, and feedback are completed accurately and submitted on time
• Liaising with clients, customers, and third parties to support project delivery and manage expectations

What are we looking for?

This role is ideal for candidates who:

• Hold NRSWA Operative training and certifications such as EUSR National Water Hygiene, SHEA Water, SCMC, and CAT
• Have experience surveying within potable water networks and a comprehensive understanding of New Connections processes
• Are confident using IT systems and mobile devices, and can support others in technical best practices
