We are looking for a People Advisor to join our small but fabulous HR team.

JOB PURPOSE

The People Advisor is a key position within the People Team that supports effective and professional HR operations and services for colleagues and Managers across the business. As the first point of escalation for payroll and HR queries, the People Advisor ensures a seamless People experience by providing generalist HR support, partnering, and administration to all colleagues.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Lifecycle
  • Manage administrative support for all HR-related queries throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, updating employee details, and leavers.
  • Escalate concerns to the wider team when necessary.
  • Support payroll queries and actions, escalating as needed.
  • Assist with managing the HR and Payroll mailbox alongside the People Administrator.
  • Maintain HR data, systems, and employee files following best practices.
Recruitment
  • Advertise internal vacancies on Job Boards.
  • Manage the recruitment process from job posting to onboarding.
Employee Relations
  • Ensure Managers and Employees are aware of HR policies and procedures, providing guidance and advice.
  • Review and develop policies in line with legislation.
  • Handle employee concerns and workplace conflicts.
  • Provide first-line ER support and advice to managers.
Benefits

Advice and Partnering
  • Support stores with HR and payroll queries, escalating when necessary.
  • Advise Store Managers on HR matters and seek guidance when needed.
  • Support the People Administrator in all duties.
Projects
  • Organize staff events throughout the year.
  • Contribute to office culture initiatives to foster a positive workplace.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Proactive with the ability to work efficiently and at pace.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HR/Payroll systems, preferably ADP iHCM or similar.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Willing to support team members and eager to learn new skills.
