To work closely with the other team members in producing concrete in a safe, clean environment and to ensure the best possible customer service is always achieved. To be responsible for the first impression regarding the cleanliness of the yard, plant, and facilities.
Key accountabilities
- To liaise with the Order Office, plant staff, and Customers to ensure that the production of concrete/mortar meets customer requirements, providing optimum output, quality, and standards in accordance with the Procedures Manual, Working instructions, and Technical Instructions.
- To regularly inspect and ensure plant routine maintenance is performed, maintaining cleanliness of plant mechanisms, areas, buildings, equipment, and facilities as per standing instructions.
- To handle waste disposal, water discharges, and dust emissions according to Environmental Procedures.
- To ensure sufficient materials are available for production demands.
- To inspect incoming materials and conduct weekly visual stock checks.
- To ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors follow relevant safety instructions.
- To review work methods and plant utilization to optimize the use of plant, equipment, and materials.
- To comply with the Restrictive Trade Practices Act as communicated.
- To perform operations in accordance with Group and Regional policies, preventing fraudulent activities.
- To adhere to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and company safety policies.
- To update knowledge and attend training courses as needed.
- To comply with Personnel Policies and Procedures.
- To perform other duties as requested by Management.
- To operate the batching plant and FEL according to company standards and improve site presentation.
- To maintain site cleanliness.
- To accurately batch concrete/mortar when trained.
- To ensure the plant is stocked with approved materials.
- To check stocks daily and verify monthly with the plant supervisor.
- To perform routine maintenance and record defects and actions.
- To report any defects or incidents affecting safety, environment, quality, or service.
- To comply with policies on health & safety, environment, quality, and fraud prevention.

Education/Qualification
- GCSE grade 4+ or equivalent to a C in Math and English.
