The Role

Kyndryl is seeking skilled Sales Engineers (SE) to join our Cloud Practice team. As an expert in your field, you will play a pivotal role in advancing technology solutions for our clients. Collaborating with Kyndryl Consult Partners and customer associates, you will use your technical skills and solution-oriented approach to identify and pursue strategic opportunities, exceeding customer expectations.

You will contribute to Consulting, Advisory, and Architecture initiatives across Sales, Pre-Sales & Delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud computing and a commitment to helping clients succeed. A Cloud Practice Sales Engineer supports technical sales, understanding customer needs and assisting in implementing cloud-based digital transformation solutions.

Required qualifications include a blend of technical expertise and excellent communication skills, with experience in diverse Hybrid cloud technologies across Public, Private, and Hybrid models, and a proven track record in customer-centric sales support roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cloud strategies
  • Design and deploy cloud architectures
  • Support pre-sales projects through to post-sales contract execution
Day-to-Day Activities
  • Lead in collecting, validating, and vetting technical, functional, and non-functional requirements with customers
  • Develop technical solution strategies for Cloud/Digital Transformation services
  • Create solution proposals, including cost estimates, deployment timelines, and architecture drafts
  • Apply insights specific to Kyndryl’s Cloud Practice and understand AWS, Azure, GCP solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of cloud strategies and develop relationships within technical and alliance communities
  • Contribute to contract and SOW writing, focusing on technical and business outcomes
  • Possess strong financial acumen to build and propose business cases
  • Present to CxOs and large audiences, and conduct solution demonstrations
  • Maintain industry certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP
Who You Are

You are experienced, growth-minded, customer-focused, and inclusive. You support subdomain focus areas such as Application Data and AI, Cloud, Core Enterprise, Digital Workplace, Network and Edge, Security, and Resiliency.

Required Skills and Experience
  • At least 2 years in Cloud/Digital Transformation consultative Tech Sales or Sales Engineering in the last 5 years
  • Ability to gather and validate technical requirements with customers
  • Proven ability to develop and present cloud transformation solutions and strategies
  • Experience in creating detailed solution proposals with cost, timeline, and architecture details
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in client-facing meetings, RFP presentations, and business reviews
  • Relevant AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications (at least one)
  • Strong understanding of containers, DevOps tools, HA, data security, and automation techniques
