About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, the role of a Retail Assistant is comprehensive and aims to deliver excellent Customer Service. You will be a vital part of the team, contributing to achieving branch and individual targets through face-to-face sales, servicing click and collect orders, and developing sound customer relationships.

Main duties include:
  1. Serve trade and retail customers for click and collect and general orders while maximising sales where possible.
  2. Pick relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfil customer orders.
  3. Assist the sales team with product promotions by answering telephone queries and dealing with electronic queries as needed.
  4. Fully satisfy customer needs regarding part orders, returns, or queries.
  5. Check customer returns for resale, warranty, or surcharge.
  6. Contribute to a positive team performance while working on personal benchmarks to optimise performance and sales of product promotions.
  7. Utilise the E-learning portal to develop product knowledge and improve performance.
  8. Ensure customer-facing areas of the branch are kept clean and tidy.
  9. Develop strong relationships with customers and understand their garage needs.
  10. Promote a positive image of the company by representing our values and maintaining a professional appearance.
  11. Work towards achieving relevant KPIs.

Working hours: 0.5 hours on average, Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.

About You

What you'll need to succeed:

  1. Proven customer service or sales/retail experience in a customer-facing role.
  2. Target-driven and motivated to achieve results.
  3. Excellent customer service skills.
  4. Ability to approach customer queries positively and seek resolutions proactively.
  5. Confident in using IT and computer systems.
  6. Ability to work well with others.
  7. Excellent attention to detail.
  8. Knowledge of car parts or the automotive industry is advantageous but not essential.
  9. Knowledge of MAM, Allicat, MS Office is desirable.
