Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Senior Practitioner within the Safeguarding Team to work full-time for Achieving for Children, based in Kingston.

The salary for this Senior Practitioner role is up to £55,083 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people, considering their race, culture, religion, and linguistic background.
  2. Manage an agreed caseload of children and young people, ensuring compliance with casework objectives, statutory, and departmental policies, including handling complex cases.
  3. Complete long-term work with families to meet needs and improve outcomes for children.
  4. Prepare high-quality reports for court, support workers in court, and give evidence as required.
  5. Maintain case notes and records, and prepare reports as needed.
  6. Use the Integrated Children's System (ICS) for case management in line with departmental policies.
  7. Monitor service delivery against targets and take action to achieve desired outcomes.
  8. Keep staff and stakeholders informed to facilitate service development.
  9. Establish good communication across children's social care and partner agencies.
  10. Ensure high-quality, responsive services respecting diverse backgrounds and needs.
  11. Implement policies and procedures aligned with Achieving for Children's vision and values, especially in staff support and management.
  12. Promote diversity and equality in service delivery and management, applying ethical reasoning in practice and decision-making.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation.
