We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Planning Administrator to join our dynamic Planning Department. This is a key role providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of operational planning tasks across multi-utility projects.

You’ll play a pivotal part in supporting the team with planning daily activities, raising work requests, resolving queries, and producing key reports. This position offers excellent development opportunities for someone looking to progress their career in a fast-paced, supportive environment, particularly within the utilities or construction sectors.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Administrative Support: Assisting the Planning team with day-to-day administrative tasks and ensuring processes run efficiently and accurately.
  • Work Request Management: Raising and processing work requests, ensuring timely and accurate handling to support project delivery.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Creating and maintaining departmental reports to support decision-making and improve performance tracking.
  • Problem Solving: Investigating and resolving planning or customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Operational Support: Contributing to the development and performance of the Operations Department, aligned with departmental KPIs.
  • Team Contribution: Collaborating with colleagues to support the delivery of projects.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong administrative experience, ideally within a construction, utilities, or similar office-based environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you’ll be confident engaging with external stakeholders and colleagues by phone and email.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a self-motivated approach and willingness to take initiative.
  • An empathetic, customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage and resolve internal and external queries.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a focused team.
  • An interest in developing and progressing within the business.
