Financial Accountant

Location: Wolverhampton

Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) + excellent holidays, private healthcare, and life assurance

Hours: Full-time – Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, including flexi-time

Company Overview

Prince is proud to be recruiting for a well-established, prestigious manufacturing organization located on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis, supporting multiple entities across the EMEA & USA regions from their shared service centre. You will provide support to the in-country controllers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the monthly close cycle, financial and statutory reporting, and policy compliance for assigned entities.
2. Prepare account reconciliations for review by the in-country controller.
3. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and master data.
4. Perform monthly closing activities including settlements, depreciation, and foreign exchange revaluations.
5. Prepare and post journal entries.
6. Generate and distribute weekly and monthly reports.
7. Manage intercompany reconciliations including balance sheet, P&L, loans, and interest.
8. Ensure accurate and complete account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies as needed.
9. Coordinate research and resolution of reconciliation issues.
10. Assist with audit requests.
11. Interact with in-country controllers, plant controllers, and global Capex and inventory controllers.
12. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned, including other shared site accounting responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Experience with SAP is preferred but not essential.
