A leading school in Greater London is seeking a part-time Design & Technology Technician to support the department with technical knowledge and assistance in lessons. The role involves maintenance and administration duties, requiring excellent communication skills and a proactive approach. The successful candidate will work 25 hours a week during term time, starting September 2025.
We are seeking to recruit a part-time Design & Technology Technician.
The Role
This is a hands-on role supporting the Design & Technology Department with technical knowledge, assistance in practical lessons, department administration, maintenance, and stock control.
Hours of Work
This role is part-time, working 25 hours a week, term time only plus INSET days. Ideally, the successful candidate will start work at 8.15 am and work one long day until 4 pm or 4.30 pm, with three shorter days and one day off a week. Meal breaks are unpaid. Preferences for working hours will be discussed at interview.

Our School
Carshalton High School for Girls, a member of the Girls' Learning Trust, is a high-achieving school in the suburbs of south London. Confirmed as “Good” by Ofsted in January 2023, we achieved our best exam results to date in Summer 2024.

The school is a short walk from Carshalton station, with London Victoria approximately a 30-minute journey by Southern trains, and London St Pancras approximately 45 minutes by Thameslink. The school is also accessible by car and bus from south London and Surrey.
