Cover Supervisor - Get into Teaching - Full-Time - From September 2025
Location: Glossop (High Peak)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £90 - £120 per day

Teaching Personnel is working with a popular secondary school in Glossop to appoint confident, proactive Cover Supervisors who will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of teaching staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates or professionals who are looking to build their experience in education while earning competitive weekly pay and working regular school hours.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will have the chance to enhance your teaching skills, work alongside passionate educators, and gain first-hand exposure to the teaching profession. Many of our Cover Supervisors have successfully transitioned into teacher training or other permanent positions after gaining experience in this role.
Supervise and engage students across various subjects and year groups (Years 7-11)
Deliver lesson content and ensure that students follow the work left by the absent teacher - no planning or marking required
Ensure a safe and focused classroom environment, maintaining high expectations of behaviour at all times
Support students with any questions or difficulties they may encounter during the lesson
Adhere to school policies and guidelines, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere
Assist with general classroom management, including helping students with organisation and concentration
Graduates who are considering a future in teaching (any subject)
Sports coaches, youth workers, tutors, or anyone with experience working with young people
Teaching Assistants who are looking to step into a teaching role
Confident, proactive individuals who can engage and manage a classroom of teenagers
