You must possess first-class technical knowledge across multiple UK commercial lines and hold the CII or ACII qualification.

Position details

The role

As Account Manager you will be the day-to-day guardian of an assigned portfolio, maintaining impeccable service standards and nurturing long-term relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Client service – answer everyday enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring each interaction exceeds expectations.
  • Policy administration – place new business, renewals and endorsements with pinpoint accuracy.
  • Documentation – prepare and issue schedules, certificates, cover notes and invoices.
  • Claims support – guide clients through the entire claims journey, liaising with insurers to secure swift, fair settlements.
  • Risk assessment & placement – identify exposures and collaborate with underwriters to secure tailored solutions across property, liability, motor, cyber and more.
  • Relationship management – build strong, positive links with clients, insurers and other stakeholders.
  • Compliance – uphold FCA, Lloyd’s and internal standards at all times.
  • Team support – provide reliable administrative assistance to senior account managers and directors.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven success in an account-handling or similar broking role.
  • Deep technical expertise across multiple UK commercial lines.
  • CII or ACII qualification (essential).
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational ability.
  • Confidence with market software platforms and Microsoft 365.
