We are now looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead operations at a facility based in Coventry. This role provides a platform for a high-performing, self-motivated leader to shape the future of a key division within a thriving business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Providing strategic and operational leadership, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
2. Managing a workforce of over 100 employees, including overseeing recruitment, training, development, performance management, succession planning, and disciplinary procedures.
3. Ensuring exceptional levels of customer satisfaction through high-quality service and operational excellence.
4. Controlling operational budgets, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring all business and profitability targets are met or exceeded.
5. Leading continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process enhancements to improve efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
6. Overseeing all departmental functions to align with company objectives and meet or surpass performance targets.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

1. Extensive senior management experience within an engineering environment, preferably with a background in sheet metal, fabrication, and laser cutting operations.
2. A proven track record of driving business growth and profitability, with a strong focus on customer service excellence.
3. Deep understanding of profit and loss management, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to enhance financial and operational performance.
4. Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a collaborative leadership style capable of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
5. Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships internally and externally to create a competitive advantage.
6. Energetic, confident, and hands-on leadership approach, with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire others.
