As a growing QA team at Dexters, we are seeking an enthusiastic skilled QA Engineer to join our growing team. You will impact across the portfolio of Dexters products that we are developing, helping shape the improvement and testing processes. We need someone to be the champion for high quality software at all times. You will help contribute to the test strategy alongside other members of the QA team.
Location: Remote working, with occasional travel to London (less than monthly)
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Business Requirements – Understand, break down, and validate complex business needs to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop Test Strategies – Design and implement testing strategies from the ground up, balancing manual and automated testing approaches.
- Manual & Automated Testing – Execute manual tests to supplement automation, ensuring robust software quality.
- Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality is built into the SDLC from the beginning.
- Report & Communicate Issues – Document test results, report bugs, and provide actionable feedback to the development team.
Requirements
- Analytical and logical thinking.
- Understanding business situations and requirements.
- Good Manual testing skills will be required, supplementing existing automation tests.
- Experience building test strategies from the foundation up.
- Good working knowledge of Git or another source control system. Familiarity with GitHub a bonus.
- Ability to understand and break down complex requirements.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written English.
- Experience of a project management tool such as Jira or TargetProcess.
- Analytical thinking and a desire to improve software early in the SDLC.
- Certifications (ISEB-ISQTB - Foundation or an equivalent / higher ones).
- Web-Based Automation experience (Any Ruby / JS / Php ones such as Selenium/Capybara/Cypress/Playwright/Behat are fine).
- Exposure to BDD style frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Contributions to automation frameworks. Expertise in any is preferred.
- Experience in the Property industry / Familiarity with rental & housing requirements.
- Greenfield testing experience.
