Operations Supervisor

Are you an experienced supervisor with operations experience?

The Role
  • Supervise operations in the region.
  • Ensure efficient deployment of staff and resources.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment are operated at all times to protect health and safety of staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
What will I be Doing:
  • Maintain budgetary control over operations.
  • Order equipment and resources as necessary.
  • Maintain H&S standards on site.
  • Ensure planned and preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment.
  • Manage site performance according to contract standards.
  • Liaise with outside bodies, such as Environment Agency.
  • Lead and develop a team to adopt operational best practices.
  • Train staff on Manual Handling, Safety, Diversity, Risk Assessments, etc.
  • Keep site records updated and compliant with policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Provide a client-focused service supporting customer needs.
  • Perform any other duties within the scope of the role.
What Experience is Required?
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).
  • Willing to obtain WAMITAB/COTC certification (sponsored and supported by Suez).
  • Experience in the waste industry is a plus but not essential.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Operation and Maintenance of Mobile/Fixed Plant or related experience.
