Job description

We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Maintenance Delivery Manager to be based at one of the following locations: Oxford, Maple Lodge, Basingstoke, or Hampton Treatment Works. The successful candidate will lead a team of Electrical Engineers/Senior Authorised Persons, overseeing operation, maintenance, and fault-finding activities on high voltage and primary low voltage systems.

The role involves ensuring the installation of electrical assets is managed according to TWUL standards, supporting Thames Water's extensive HV and LV electrical networks that are vital for water production and waste treatment for 16 million customers.

The position requires a high level of technical knowledge and safety procedures expertise, providing support for maintenance, fault investigation, asset upgrades, and incident investigations. Regular engagement with stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Capital Delivery, and Health Safety is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and ensure safety standards are maintained.
• Engage with stakeholders to align work with operational needs.
• Support asset planning and capital projects.
• Lead fault investigations and safety incident reports.
• Provide technical leadership and plant issue resolution.
• Mentor team members and develop technical competencies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Formal training as a Senior Authorised Person.
• Significant experience in electrical engineering within utilities or water sectors.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, especially electrical safety.
