Key responsibilities include:

• Providing proactive financial analysis and advice to management on operational and commercial issues, including pricing, investments, acquisitions, business cases, and cost tracking.
• Assisting management in developing the business profitably within approved plans.
• Delivering clear management information, interpreting variances, trends, and operational performance implications.
• Supporting budget preparation, monthly trading packs, and presenting results to senior leadership.
• Coordinating budgeting and forecasting processes with meaningful analysis and commentary.
• Maintaining a robust financial control environment with accurate systems and reporting.
• Collaborating on pricing policies and operational efficiencies to enhance profitability.
• Working with credit control and sales teams to meet targets.

The ideal candidate

• Is a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA), based in the Midlands.
• Has experience as a Business Partner within a senior management team, understanding key business drivers.
• Possesses hands-on experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Has a track record of sustaining profitability and using KPIs to identify issues early.
• Demonstrates commercial awareness, risk evaluation, and good financial conduct.
• Possesses exceptional communication skills and builds strong relationships with senior managers.
• Maintains an open, honest approach with constructive challenge capabilities.
• Has a broad financial management background in a multi-site B2B service organization.
