As one of London’s premier street food agencies, we at Karnival specialise in bringing London’s best street food traders into the corporate world – through lunches, events, markets and large sporting and cultural events.
We run flagship markets, in both the City of London and Canary Wharf, oversee 1,000s of events a year and work with many big brands to bring their events to life.
Job Summary
This is a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about food and working at a growing company, where they will have the chance to help shape the company, as well as their own career progression.
Based in London, the role will primarily involve the management of street food pop-ups at corporate events and lunches. Secondarily it will also involve the end to end management of large scale street food markets. They will be responsible for managing their own portfolio of clients and will report to the Operations Director.
The successful candidate will be proactive, confident with excellent communication skills and have a natural ability to build a rapport with the traders as well as with our clients. Furthermore, they must be extremely well organised and be able to work well with pressure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Events and Operations Manager:
- Manage a portfolio of regular clients to ensure that their catering needs are met, through our Karnival pop-ups
- Own the end to end management of multiple ad hoc events in and around London. This would include engaging with clients to understand their requirements, pulling together a proposal for them and then running the event on the day.
- Support other team members to deliver their events to the highest standard.
- Engage with existing traders, to book them into jobs and also give them feedback on their set-ups / events undertaken.
- Onboard new traders, by training them up in how Karnival operates.
- Oversee at least one flagship market in London.
- Assist the Managing Director with ad-hoc projects.

Experience:
A hands-on approach and excellent communication skills are required to ensure the smooth operations of all Karnival events and markets.

- Good stakeholder management with both suppliers and customers
- Competent Microsoft office skill especially Excel and Powerpoint
