Overview of team purpose

The Business Marketing team is a large, diverse group of expert marketers providing comprehensive marketing services to the Grow London directorate and London Convention Bureau. Our work includes strategy, creative campaigns, lead generation, event collateral, insights, and reporting, targeting high-growth London-based companies, international businesses, and event organizers.

Purpose of the role

You will support the Head of Business Marketing in delivering marketing services, focusing on activities like London Tech Week, overseeing marketing for the London Convention Bureau, and managing a marketing executive. Your responsibilities include creating marketing plans, producing high-quality materials, ensuring brand consistency, and using data and insights to guide your work.

You will operate in a fast-paced environment, developing and implementing marketing and communication plans across print, media, events, and online platforms, requiring strong stakeholder relationships and delivery skills.

Key Tasks
  1. Develop and execute cross-channel marketing strategies to meet objectives.
  2. Collaborate proactively with teams to generate leads, increase awareness, and engage audiences.
  3. Implement marketing initiatives with stakeholders and partners.
  4. Create compelling content and storytelling, including impact reports and thought leadership, leveraging insights and sector expertise.
  5. Prepare engaging collateral supporting the customer journey and alumni community.
  6. Manage social media content and advertising on platforms like X, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  7. Coordinate with the Communications team on press releases and media coverage.
  8. Develop high-impact messaging and collateral highlighting program strengths.
  9. Deliver campaigns on time and within budget, ensuring effective resource management and reporting.
  10. Ensure compliance with grant branding and reporting requirements.
  11. Manage relationships with suppliers and utilize systems and tools effectively.
  12. Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in delivering impactful B2B marketing campaigns across multiple channels with measurable results.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of timely, budget-conscious delivery.
  • Customer-focused and data-driven approach, with experience in social media marketing, content creation, and analytics tools like Google Analytics and Hootsuite.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working in agile environments and with international audiences is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, with a positive attitude and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
