At JoJo, we’re on the lookout for a Print & Graphic Designer.

You will be working under the guidance of your line manager. This role is responsible for the research, development, and design of a wide range of innovative and imaginative prints and graphics for multiple product areas across children'swear and maternity clothing.

You will work closely with buying and heads of department to ensure the range is commercially balanced, driving newness and protecting core products. Managing critical path deadlines, ensuring personal and team targets are met.

A peek into your daily adventures

  • Design and develop new and innovative prints and graphics across various product areas, including children'swear clothing, accessories, and maternity ranges.
  • Build strong working relationships with the wider team, including buyers and department heads, participating in range analysis, reviewing successes and failures, and developing the ranges accordingly.
  • Mentor junior team members, assisting with their development and time management.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of print repeats, graphic design, colour balance, and commercial print handwriting, while being aware of costing limitations and problem-solving within these areas.
  • Work closely with international factories, managing timelines to meet critical path dates, problem-solving as needed, and ensuring timely feedback.
  • Collaborate with technologists to ensure children’swear safety standards are met.
  • Prepare detailed artwork packs.
  • Manage the design critical path and support development and production timelines to meet business deadlines.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, understanding their strengths and weaknesses, working with the buying team on sourcing strategies to minimize risk, and onboarding new suppliers.
  • Understand the construction of intricate embroideries and complex applique techniques.
  • Present the range to line managers and the wider business as required.
  • Be aware of copyright laws and protections.

Skills that make you shine:

  • Minimum 5+ years in a similar designer role.
  • Ability to design across multiple product categories effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven track record of designing high-quality prints and graphics aligned with brand identity.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal colleagues and external vendors.
  • Deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience managing junior team members.
