Responsibilities
  • Ensure that building services systems are commissioned properly and in accordance with relevant requirements.
  • Manage the electrical commissioning process.
  • Validate the electrical commissioning process and ensure results meet requirements.
  • Inspect existing systems to determine their performance.
  • Advise on electrical commissioning and performance requirements, strategies, programs, and scopes of work.
  • Perform measurements, surveys, and technical inspections.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve systems and procedures.
  • Act as a technical champion in specific areas.
  • Promote the company through marketing activities.
  • Plan equipment needs for testing.
  • Assist in preparing tender documents.
  • Complete timesheets accurately weekly.
  • Assist colleagues proactively in their tasks.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Adhere to health and safety policies at all times.
  • Work diligently, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Ensure technical compliance and high-quality production.
  • Develop commissioning strategies with the main contractor.
  • Use internal management systems effectively.
  • Monitor project finances and expenditure.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Prepare technical, commercial, and programmatic reports.
  • Create project-specific management and validation documents.
  • Review drawings, manuals, and technical submissions.
  • Develop procedural instructions and test scripts.
  • Report scope changes internally.
  • Assess progress, difficulties, and costs with the team.
  • Perform hands-on commissioning work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BEng in Electrical Engineering with Building Services.
  • Significant project management experience.
  • Additional modules: Construction Law, Project Management, Building Services, Environmental Systems, Lighting, Energy, Time Management, Presentations.
  • Membership in CIBSE, ASHRAE, or similar is advantageous.
  • 5-10 years of experience in project management/commissioning in relevant building types.
  • Experience with quality and environmental policies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years experience in mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
  • Proven leadership in commissioning efforts.
  • Passion for sustainability and experience with building systems operation.
  • Willingness to travel to site locations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, TAB, and Controls; strong report writing skills.
  • Understanding of operational, safety, and code requirements.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of MEP systems and HVAC.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Valid driver's license.
