Responsibilities
- Ensure building services systems are properly commissioned according to relevant standards.
- Manage the electrical commissioning process, including planning, execution, and validation.
- Inspect existing systems to assess performance and compliance.
- Advise on commissioning strategies, scope, and technical requirements.
- Conduct measurements, surveys, and technical inspections.
- Collaborate with team members to improve systems and procedures.
- Act as a technical champion in your area of expertise.
- Promote the company through marketing activities.
- Plan equipment needs for testing and assist in preparing tender documents.
- Complete timesheets accurately and timely.
- Support and assist other staff in their tasks.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain safety standards in accordance with company policies.
- Work diligently, efficiently, and professionally.
- Ensure technical compliance and high-quality output.
- Develop commissioning strategies in collaboration with contractors.
- Adopt company project management systems.
- Monitor project finances and control expenditure.
- Participate in meetings and produce reports covering technical, commercial, and schedule aspects.
- Create management and validation documents specific to projects.
- Review drawings, manuals, and submissions for technical accuracy.
- Develop project-specific procedures and test scripts.
- Report scope changes and assess progress and costs with the team.
- Perform hands-on commissioning tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- BEng in Electrical Engineering with Building Services.
- Significant project management experience.
- Additional modules like Construction Law, Project Management, Building Services, Environmental Design, Lighting, Energy, Time Management, and Presentation courses are advantageous.
- Membership in CIBSE, ASHRAE, or similar organizations is a plus.
- 5-10 years of experience in project or commissioning management in commercial, residential, healthcare, or life sciences sectors.
- Experience with quality and environmental policies.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience with mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
- Proven leadership in commissioning from design to completion.
- Passion for sustainability and knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and controls.
- Willingness to travel to site locations.
- Strong troubleshooting, report writing, and operational understanding.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Technical knowledge of MEP systems and HVAC.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask.
- Valid driver’s license.
