The Role:

This role is for a hands-on Fabric Engineer with a good understanding of general building services and estates management. The purpose of the role is to assist the estates management team in providing maintenance and lifecycle services. Responsibilities include assisting in the operation, repair, and maintenance of various buildings, as well as painting and decorating.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Performing routine fabric maintenance to meet and exceed service level agreements.
• Responding promptly to reactive maintenance tasks.
• Assisting with internal moves and changes as required.
• Undertaking painting, decorating, and DIY tasks to maintain aesthetics and functionality.
• Loading, unloading, and storing equipment, spares, and deliveries safely.
• Ensuring all engineering activities meet service and venue expectations.
• Completing relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive, and breakdown works promptly.
• Maintaining comprehensive maintenance records.
• Undertaking lone working when required, after adequate training.
• Building good relationships with team members, subcontractors, and venue staff.
• Providing a safe and healthy working environment, including PPE usage.
• Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Keeping equipment storage areas tidy daily.
• Ensuring plant rooms are locked and clean.
• Completing tasks with health & safety awareness.
• Producing near miss reports, risk assessments, and site activity records, and escalating noncompliance issues.
• Reporting deficiencies that could affect service, safety, or environment.
