Key Duties

1. Install electrical systems and equipment
2. Wire in accordance with regulations and electrical engineering drawings
3. Run cables and install flexible conduit runs
4. Terminate control panels and control equipment
5. Terminate 3 phase motors and VSD units
6. Fit cable tray, uni strut, and perform other fitting duties
7. Install and connect lights, switches, and LV equipment
8. Instruct, supervise, and transfer skills to apprentices or semi-skilled workers to ensure safety and quality
9. Use safety equipment, PPE, and protective devices

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar electrical role
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to address business needs
• Computer literacy in Microsoft applications

Desirable Qualifications

• Formal apprenticeship in Electrical Installation or Fitting
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671
• MEWP Licence
• Driving License
