Job description

Harron Homes is seeking a talented Group Architectural Technician to join our team. Successful candidates will receive ongoing support, training, long-term career prospects, and job security.

Key Purpose of Role

To ensure compliance with all relevant Technical and CDM legislation, and that house types meet building regulations and warranty requirements. Additionally, to monitor development progress, prepare architectural drawings, and ensure all information is clear, accurate, and professionally presented.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

1. Produce title overlays, pre-exchange, and pre-completion packs.
2. Create planning drawings, street scenes, 3D visuals using Photoshop, and site plans using AutoCAD.
3. Assist with Design and Access Statements and planning application processes.
4. Coordinate with specialists and consultants for assessments and calculations.
5. Prepare Building Regulations applications and liaise with authorities.
6. Update construction specifications and prepare risk assessments.
7. Provide information for sales brochures, marketing, and construction.
8. Manage consultants and suppliers, and oversee legal and conveyance plans.
9. Ensure compliance with housing briefs, supervise junior team members, and monitor financial and environmental considerations.
10. Coordinate statutory approvals, energy certificates, and site inspections.
11. Perform duties as Principal Designer and Designer under CDM 2015.

Qualifications

HND / Degree in Building, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Design.

Experience

Extensive architectural experience, especially with house types, and a proven track record of obtaining Building Control approvals.

Key Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of construction design, performance, and functionality.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Strong communication, presentation, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills.
