Job Description

The Pre-Construction Manager oversees the management of one or multiple projects during the preconstruction phase, supporting ongoing projects as needed.

You will collaborate with the Pre-Construction Director and team on upcoming projects, assisting with planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the preconstruction process for assigned projects.
• Ensuring a smooth transition from preconstruction to construction, maintaining strong client and team relationships.
• Reviewing tenders and managing bids.
• Delivering client presentations in collaboration with Business Development.
• Planning preconstruction activities and project setup.
• Coordinating with estimating for various preconstruction phases, including programming and design development.
• Ensuring tender and design compliance with specifications and client requirements.
• Participating in early planning meetings with clients.
• Inputting into preconstruction and cost planning.
• Assisting with pricing adjustments as needed.
• Supporting site-based project managers and teams.
• Reviewing project progress reports and providing input.
• Negotiating subcontractor packages and procurement of major equipment.
• Developing commissioning and testing plans.
• Supporting project handover and close-out activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Extensive experience in preconstruction or related roles.
• Proficiency in Trimble/Amtech estimating software.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical installations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
