Role: Senior Commercial Finance Manager

Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA - Office Based

Contract: Full-Time / Permanent

Salary: £57,475 - £67,925 Dependent on Experience & Discretionary Bonus Scheme

About the Role:

We have an exciting upcoming opportunity in the finance department for a motivated individual eager to develop their career. In this role, you will provide commercial insights to the Management team, partner with the business to optimize and challenge financial performance, support commercial initiatives, and report on them.

The successful candidate will monitor and forecast KPIs, analyze key information, and report variances using their initiative. Analytical skills and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels are essential. You should be proactive and capable of relaying complex information clearly.

What you'll be doing:

1. Prepare weekly trading reports/dashboards and weekly CEO updates
2. Prepare monthly presentations on trading performance
3. Identify key trends and drivers of results
4. Collaborate with the management accounts team to understand monthly performance by site, brand, and location
5. Review P&L cost items regularly to understand the cost base and present key trends
6. Partner with key stakeholders
7. Improve reporting impact and efficiency by maximizing SAP analytics tools and reducing reliance on spreadsheets
8. Work closely with the Country Manager to optimize performance, control costs, and improve profitability
9. Support decision-making with relevant information
10. Lead and manage the annual budget preparation and presentation
11. Perform other analysis or tasks as requested by senior management
12. Manage direct reports, including developing roles and responsibilities

• Qualified Accountant
• Efficient, able to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Excel and/or SAP
• Commercial and analytical acumen
• Ability to establish frameworks and processes
• Multi-tasking, adaptable, responsive to changing priorities
• Self-motivated, capable of leading a high-performance team
• Confident in presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders
• Multi-site experience in hospitality or retail (desirable)
