Every product that leaves our factory has been designed, engineered, and produced for exclusive use in North America. U.S. Boiler Company is a subsidiary of Burnham Holdings, Inc.

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team! This full-time position in Lancaster, PA, involves supervising union-hourly workers engaged in manufacturing, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining safety and efficiency.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, performance appraisal, rewards, discipline, and resolving issues.
  2. Ensure departmental operations comply with safety, quality, environmental, and administrative policies.
  3. Engage daily with employees to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery & Value results.
  4. Collect and analyze data from daily engagements.
  5. Manage stock and supplies based on production schedules and requisition materials.
  6. Coordinate with organization to meet customer deadlines.
  7. Guide workers in machine adjustments and repairs to meet standards.
  8. Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  9. Recommend and implement measures to improve production, equipment performance, and product quality.
  10. Suggest improvements in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
  11. Resolve work problems and assist workers as needed.
  12. Maintain time and production records.
  13. Coach, mentor, and develop personnel, including other leaders.
  14. Support project management and operational areas as needed.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders; assign duties accordingly.
  2. Consult with management or engineering to ensure quality and reliability standards.
  3. Propose modifications to quality or production standards for optimal results.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school, or six to twelve months related experience/training, or equivalent.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • One to three years of supervisory experience.

Physical Demands:

Regularly standing, walking, using hands, talking, and hearing. Occasionally sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity for close/distance vision and color differentiation.

Work Environment:

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, high places, chemicals, weather, electrical shocks, and vibration. Noise level is usually loud.
