Senior Clinical Pharmacist

Location: Beaumont Hospital, Bolton

Hours & Contract: 15 hours per week, permanent, with flexible shift pattern options

Salary: Up to £50,000.00 FTE per year (depending on experience, training, and qualifications)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team. The role involves delivering expert pharmaceutical care, supervising medicines management, and supporting clinical services within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide pharmaceutical expertise to support patient care and medicines management, supervising procurement, preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medicines.
2. Supervise junior staff and assume responsibility for specialist clinical services as needed.
3. Ensure the safe and effective daily operation of the pharmacy department.
4. Offer clinical input regarding medicines to patients.
5. Ensure accurate and timely billing.
6. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, professional standards, and best practices.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm, BSc, or BPharm).
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacist.
• Knowledge of GPhC Codes of Conduct, Ethics, and Performance.
• Postgraduate clinical diploma in hospital pharmacy or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of registration and 2 years in a hospital environment.
• Understanding of Care Standards Act and CQC requirements.
• GCSEs in Maths and English at grades A-C or equivalent.
