About the role

We operate the UK's ONLY flexible multi-temp, shared customer delivery logistics network. We buy, warehouse, pick, and distribute products to the nation's best-loved food and drink brands every day, providing the best experience to our customers.

We are currently recruiting Site Engineers to ensure first-class maintenance services are delivered at the 2 Hoddesdon sites. The role involves adhering to legislative requirements and meeting agreed KPIs & SLAs across the distribution centre.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensuring all plant, systems, infrastructure, and equipment operate optimally with minimal downtime.
• Being the first point of contact for all site maintenance issues.
• Diagnosing faults.
• Undertaking planned maintenance.
• Responding to major equipment breakdowns.
• Working with the Facilities Team to manage budgets.
• Ensuring the distribution centre meets legal compliance for maintenance.
• Managing Facilities 3rd party contractors effectively.
• Attending regular meetings to review, plan, and prioritize activities.

You will need

• A TEC/City & Guilds qualification or a time-served apprenticeship in an electrical/mechanical environment or building services.
• The ability to prioritize workload.
• Practical skills.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with heavy lifting, ladder work/working at heights, and use of power tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Health and Safety knowledge.
• Experience in a logistics environment familiar with multi-temperature storage.
• Good understanding of Microsoft software.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am onwards.
