Job description

As Technical Accountant Trainer, you will be responsible for the systematic monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of the accountancy teams' work, as well as onboarding, upskilling, and continuous training and development of the teams.

We are looking for a self-motivated, quality-centric accountancy professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accountancy, quality assurance, auditing, and/or training.

About the role:

1. Plan, execute, and oversee the quality assurance cycle for all members of the accountancy teams, testing for quality and compliance.
2. Train the Accounting Teams (UK & Offshore), tailoring training needs to meet diverse requirements to set them up for success.
3. Review and report on the work of the accounting team to ensure feedback, quality, and accuracy are maintained at the highest level.
4. Accompany evaluations with meaningful and constructive feedback.
5. Identify training and onboarding needs and initiate related programs.
6. Set an example as a hands-on Senior Accountant, championing service excellence and Mazuma’s core values.

About you:

As the Quality Assurer/Trainer, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA), with proven experience in accountancy, and confident in using IT-based accounting software. You will possess:

• A passion for delivering training and a desire for continual learning and development.
• Previous experience designing, delivering, and facilitating training sessions (preferred).
• Experience in quality assurance or auditing.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team, using your own initiative.
• A keen eye for detail.
• The ability to work without supervision.
