Job Details

As a Technical Accountant Trainer, you will be responsible for the systematic monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of the accountancy team's work, as well as onboarding, upskilling, and continuous training and development of the team.

We are looking for a self-motivated, quality-centric accountancy professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accountancy, quality assurance, auditing, and/or training.

About the role:

• Plan, execute, and oversee the quality assurance cycle for all members of the accountancy teams, testing for quality and compliance.
• Train the Accounting Teams (UK & Offshore), tailoring training needs to meet diverse requirements to set them up for success.
• Review and report on the work of the accounting team to ensure feedback, quality, and accuracy are maintained at the highest level.
• Provide meaningful and constructive feedback during evaluations.
• Identify training and onboarding needs and initiate related projects.
• Set an example as a hands-on Senior Accountant, championing service excellence and Mazuma’s core values.

About you:

As the Quality Assurer/Trainer, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA), with proven experience in accountancy and confidence in using IT-based accounting software. You will possess:

• A passion for delivering training and a desire for continual learning and development.
• Previous experience designing, delivering, and facilitating training sessions (preferred).
• Experience in quality assurance or auditing.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail, a positive attitude, and quick learning ability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team, using own initiative.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to work without supervision.
