Job Description:

Berry Recruitment is currently hiring for an experienced Development Lead, Production based in Oxford, Oxfordshire.

Location:

Oxford, Oxfordshire

Hours:

Full time

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and development of new products or processes, including designing trials and testing new raw materials or equipment.
• Formulation development for products such as tablets, solutions, suspensions, gels, and pastes, including testing ingredients and optimizing formulations.
• Process optimization to improve manufacturing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability, including scaling up processes.
• Analyzing and testing trial samples in collaboration with quality control.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of processes, results, and observations, including reports and batch records.
• Conducting manufacturing activities and trials to meet standards such as GLP, GMP, SOPs, and protocols.
• Facilitating technology transfer from trial to commercial batches for production.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production management and quality control, and assisting in manufacturing during staffing shortages or scheduling needs.
• Following safety protocols and regulatory guidelines, including proper waste disposal and adherence to GLP and GMP standards.

About You:

• Proven experience in chemical research.
• Hands-on experience with equipment and processes in a cleanroom environment is advantageous.
• Experience with small-scale trials and scaling up for commercial production.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to quality, environment, and health & safety.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
