Maintenance Engineer

Thirsk, North Yorkshire YO7

A£33,000 - A£35,000 per annum plus Company Car/Van

Permanent full-time role working 4 days (48hr)

Hours of work can either be Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday, 48hrs 6am-6pm.

Commutable from York, Northallerton, Ripon, Harrogate, Castle Howard, Tadcaster, Wetherby, Darlington, and Middlesbrough.

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer based near Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for providing engineering support to the production team.

Duties

1. Carry out all planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with maintenance systems.
2. Investigate, perform root cause analyses, and resolve problems relating to machines; provide support for process and quality issues.
3. Ensure all related documentation and record keeping for the shift are up to date.
4. Provide comprehensive breakdown information and actions taken to support the planned maintenance system.
5. Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and requirements.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role.
• Good working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and collaboratively with others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production and engineering environment.
• Flexible, adaptable, proactive, and motivated with the ability to resolve intricate situations.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience within a production/manufacturing environment.
• Mechanically biased.
